This year’s Annual Report has been published!

For HANZA, 2018 was a year of new development in some areas and frustration in others. We’ve launched the new Homeshare pilot program Home Share Melbourne, and we’re delighted that it’s to be a program of HANZA Inc. We’ve also maintained our work to achieve recognition of Homeshare as a valid, chargeable line item within MyAgedCare or the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Minister Ken Wyatt’s positive reception of Homeshare at the Round Table in Canberra last October was encouraging, and we’re certain that Homeshare will be the answer for many people in future.

We’ve said goodbye to two beloved Committee members, and welcomed three new ones. Carmel Hurst OAM, HANZA’s founder and Committee of Management Secretary, who brought the concept of Homeshare to Australia, resigned at the AGM, along with Denise Keighery. We will miss them both, and wish them both all the very best. Looking forwards, we’re delighted to announce that Heather McKee OAM, Dr Meg Montague and Nancy Norton have all joined the Committee, having stood for election at the 2018 AGM.

We look forward to a big year in 2019! You can download a copy of the 2018 report in PDF format here.
