Homeshare Australia (HANZA Inc) is seeking to recruit a member to its Committee of Management. If you have a background in communications and marketing, we can offer you an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic organisation, sharing your skills and acquiring new ones.

HANZA Inc is the peak body for those interested in and delivering Homeshare programs in Australia and New Zealand. Homeshare programs bring together householders (older people, or people with disabilities, who have a room in their house to share) with younger people in need of a place to live. The concept is based on the idea of mutual benefit — the householder gets companionship and assistance with cooking, cleaning, etc, while the homesharer gets stable and affordable accommodation. HANZA promotes homesharing nationally; supports existing homeshare programs; manages Home Share Melbourne in the City of Port Phillip and surrounding areas; and collaborates with international homesharing networks.

This role requires you to be keen to learn or to share your existing skills in governing a small not-for-profit association, and to contribute your knowledge and experience in marketing and communications in furtherance of the aims of HANZA. We are looking for someone who is:

    – Ready to share their marketing and communications skills;
    – Excited and enthusiastic about using various modes of communication (including social media, audio-visual channels, and print media) to promote the concept of homesharing and our organisation;
    – Committed to the aims of homesharing; and
    – Prepared to take up the roles required of a volunteer director of an incorporated not-for-profit association.

Inquiries and applications should be directed to Meg Montague on 0400 656 368 or
